Six days after a solid effort against the Steelers on the road, the Chiefs once again laid an egg at home vs the Bengals.
The Chiefs allowed a fake punt early in the game to give the Bengals a key first down, and it ignited Cincy to a rather easy 28-6 win over the Chiefs to drop KC to 1-9 on the year.
Andy Dalton hit A.J. Green with a short touchdown pass to cap off the drive from the fake punt, and it gave Cincy a lead they would never lose in the eventual 22-point win.
“It was a momentum-swinger,” running back BenJarvus Green-Ellis said. “That’s the thing about the NFL — most of the games are decided by a few points. When you get a momentum-swinger like that where you punch them right in the gut, it swings the momentum going your way.”
